I am
I am
I am the Lord. I am the one that created you. I am the one that knitted you in the womb. I am the one that loves you more than anything. I am the one that gives you peace. I am the one who sacrificed my son, to save you from your sins. I am the one that took the punishment that you deserved. I am the one who sees you as flawless. I am love.
I believe God is more about love than wrath. I don’t believe God thrives in punishing us, but the devil does. We all deserve hell. We’ve all sinned. However, I believe the death sentence for sin was purchased on the cross. Satan wants you to believe different. Satan loves all the rules that denominations dictate. He knows many will break the rules and that is when he can jump in and try to destroy them with the guilt and shame. Satan wants to punish you. Jesus wants you to repent and let Him cleanse you.
God sent his son Jesus to take that punishment. He already paid for it. Satan has no right to punish you. The case is closed. The sacrifice was made. It is finished.
Before Jesus walked on the earth, God’s people lived according to the law, or they were punished or killed. It seemed like your own works was what gave you God’s grace.
In the New Testament, Jesus showed us that it is not by works. He showed us that we have the power to give people grace that they did not earn or deserve because of the cross. Having faith that Jesus already died on the cross to save us, gives us that grace that we didn’t deserve. Jesus forgave Peter for denying Him three times. Peter sinned greatly and totally betrayed his best friend. However, because of God’s grace, he was forgiven. Jesus still had a wonderful relationship with him despite his betrayal.
Romans 5 tells us that we are made righteous through the blood of Jesus. When we have faith in Jesus, we are flawless. Your standing with God, was established by your faith in the blood of Jesus, not by any works that you do or do not do.
Ephesians 4 says he has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be blameless and holy before him. God sees the best in you. He wants you to be like him. See the best in people and forgive them. Show them Jesus through your love. Love conquers all. Love wins. God wins.
I am.
